The FLY Foundation is heartened to share some good news this holiday season: The Boston Business Journal has recognized our dedicated co-founder Julia Saulino with its “Forty Under Forty” award! If you’re feeling deja-vu, it’s understandable, for it was just months ago that The Providence Business Journal bestowed the same honor on Julia, who with her crew of volunteers and donors works tirelessly to raise funds to support young adult cancer patients in MA and RI. Between the pandemic and resulting cancelation of FLY’s major annual fundraiser, the Summer Soiree, the year 2020 has been a particularly challenging year for both our organization and the people who rely on our grants, so this public recognition of the importance of our mission is particularly meaningful.
