2017 Mass General’s “the one hundred”
In the war against cancer, the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, the one hundred is an awareness and fundraising initiative that celebrates hope in the cancer community. Each year, the organization honors 100 Everyday Amazing individuals and groups — caregivers, researchers, philanthropists, advocates and volunteers from around the globe — whose commitment to the fight against cancer inspires all to take action. 2017 Bristol County Chamber of Commerce John S. Brayton Jr Community Service Award
The Chamber’s John S. Brayton, Jr. Memorial Community Service Awards pay tribute to outstanding individuals who give their time and expertise, go above and beyond their own field of endeavor to contribute to the greater community, and demonstrate excellence, creativity and initiative in all they do. The award is also intended to acknowledge individuals who have been an inspiration to the area both in their profession and in their efforts to make the region a better place for us all.
2015 Audesse Award from the Massachusetts Society
In 2015, The FLY (Financial Lift for Young Adults with Cancer) Foundation was honored by the Massachusetts Society of Clinical Oncologists to receive the 2015 Audesse Award, established in 1993 to recognize outstanding efforts to educate the public about cancer prevention and to enhance and protect the quality of cancer care in Massachusetts. Founded in 1972 by Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, U.S. Sen. Robert Taft Jr. and Sam Beard, the Jefferson Awards is the nation’s largest media partnership highlighting service to America.
